This was a light and fun read. It’s a YA fantasy centred around the concept of a princess sent off to marry the prince she’s been betrothed to practically since birth. Once there, she has to navigate the customs and politics of her new home while facing danger, as well as hiding her innate magic, which is heavily frowned upon.
While not a super original concept, it’s one of my favourite tropes and I really enjoyed how it was done in this book. The two MCs, Denna and Mare, are very likeable but distinctive characters and I found myself quickly turning pages to see what would happen next. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me on this one, and I highly recommend if you’re in the mood for a fantasy read that’s not too heavy
